The Million Dollar Mental Trick For Behavior Change

Change isn't easy, is it? We have all tried so many different diets, gyms, pills and fancy fat blasting quick fixes to get healthy. Though we keep finding ourselves on the inconsistent yo-yo train trying to chase ourselves in an attempt of changing our behavior. This chase ultimately leaves us feeling exhausted and discouraged while going right back to the unhealthy behavior that got us here in the first place. I'm tired of chasing myself, aren't you?

It's time for us to get off the train my friends. The first place to start changing our behavior is in our mind. We all create hundreds of patterns of thinking every day that overflow into our actions. Unhealthy habits started long before we quit exercising and long before the only chef we trusted was Little Debbie. Unhealthy habits started when we stopped valuing ourselves. Somewhere along the way, something or someone became more important to you than yourself. You dropped down to the bottom of your own priority list. Over time, this drop made you value yourself less and less while you hopped on the back burner of your own life. So, you started relieving your stress from this downward descent of value with habits that harmed you instead of healed you. This is why changing our behavior is so difficult at first, we have been giving ourselves this devaluing energy so long that we have taken the wind from our sails and have been stuck.

The good news is we can change that energy. It starts with 2 things: our thoughts and love. Yes I said it, love. Love is the most powerful force in the universe and it's time to start giving it to you. Not the enabling, weak, fake, form of love that fuels dysfunctional, harmful behavior. But the fierce, unstoppable, real love that empowers our soul and mind to the healthier position of healing by placing our frame of mind in "I've got this."

So, here is the million dollar mental trick I'm going to give you for this process of bringing love and value back to yourself in a whole new, healing and healthier way. Anytime you are trying to change an unhealthy habit into a healthy one and feel like you can't do it, picture someone saying that they will give you one million dollars if you complete that action. Your mind shifts right?! Most of us would gladly get our tired asses out for a walk instantly if we knew we would get one million dollars for doing it. Most of our stubborn, processed sugar-addicted asses would instantly eat fruits and vegetables all day instead of cake and cupcakes if we knew we would get one million dollars for doing it. The real trip is that we would actually be happy and joyful doing it because we know that the end result is one million dollars. Which begs the question we all have to ask ourselves. Why do I value one million dollars more than I value myself? Why would I make this healthier decision for money but not because I love me and want to treat myself better? I'm actually going to value green paper more than I value my own body, brain and soul? The way you treat yourself and think about yourself is a direct reflection of how much you value yourself. The fuel you put in your body and how you choose to move your body is a direct relfection of how much you love you. You have unconditional value and worth that goes beyond what words can say, you deserve to be healthy and I pray that you start knowing your immeasurable value in your mind so you can start loving yourself to health.
